Philippians 4:6 has always been one of my favorite verses. I am an anxious and therefore controlling person by nature. Often, it is only through this verse that I find peace amongst stress. As we wait to bring our little boy home, my heart has transcended from anxiety to peace.
We believe it will happen, it is just a matter of when. Even though our son turns 3 this week, we are overjoyed by the chance that we will get to celebrate all future birthdays with him, and only a little sad to miss this Birthday. We are sad because he is alone. We hope someone will give him a little extra love on his special day. With eager anticipation, we look forward to the day when we can smother him with love. The time will come, and for that we are truly grateful and at peace.
Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
