We made it in time for the migration. Apparently, in September many Birds of Prey start to fly south for winter. We made it to Hawk Mountain on Sept. 29th, in time to see several hawks and 2 eagles. Andrew had been very worried that we would miss the migration. Phew, we did not.
No, we did not see these naturally. They were part of great presentation on Birds of Prey.
Okay, I enjoyed the hiking more than the birds seen at a great distance. The views were incredible, and the hikers cooperative. It was a great adventure.
Andrew is very serious about his hawks. He can spot them, name them, and track them. Now he wants a 'scope' for christmas. Start saving Santa!
