Science Outside

Truth is ... the kids were accomplishing nothing and driving me crazy so we went for a hike.  Fortunately, we are studying botany, so it counted as science today.  Here is what we learned.  Enjoy, we certainly enjoyed a gorgeous Fall day.

Looking for Salamanders

A vascular, seedless plants.  It has spores.
Flowering plants are angiosperms.

We are not sure if this is moss or lichen.

Inspecting the milkweed.

The grasshopper is not part of Botany, but still cool.

We are learning how thorns protect the plants.

A very cool seed.
